It was certainly a detailed book about Art and murder. I recognised one painting that was made out of a dead person - a .... the one with the apple (in a hole) in the place of a face.
The story was certainly intertwined and initially quite clumsy I felt - at one time I put it down to finish it - but I did want to understand why know who did it.
So it was a murder mystery story with the artworld (and then a famous murderer) thrown into the pot!
