The preface to the book indicated that this is actually the Tee Gerritsen's first novel and it tries to blend Romance with the thriller. I did not read a lot of romance but was I moved to a tear YES!
I actually cared for the characters involved in the story and this was the clincher - it was an entertaining 'Medical Thriller' and the characters were believable and it was well written. A very good starter novel....
